Environment - People - Experience

The Code informs you that PROVIDER NAME is a Provider of PHUKET ALTERNATIVE TOURS,  and as such is committed to sound environmental practice and to respecting the cultural sensitivities of people you may meet while using the services of this organization. Furthermore, the services offered by PROVIDER NAME are offered as an alternative to mass tourism, and the member is committed to providing you with a high quality alternative experience that will be rewarding to you, the local people, and the environment.

In particular, PROVIDER NAME undertakes to:

IMPROVE ENVIRONMENTAL AWARENESS: Seek out, develope, and participate in opportunities to improve the environmental awareness of the tourism industry as a whole, including participation in "clean up days", training events for staff, and other activities.

MINIMIZE WASTE: Practice sound rubbish disposal, ensuring visited sites are undamaged by staff and clients, minimize waste, and behave in an environmentally sound way in all places visited and services offered.

WILDLIFE INTERACTION: Ensure any interaction of staff and clients with wildlife is appropriate and not damaging to the wildlife concerned or the environment. This shall not include meat and seafood which is harvested or produced in an environmentally sustainable manner.

QUALITY EXPERIENCE FOR CLIENTS: Seek out, develop, and deliver a high quality experience to clients that is rewarding to the client and not damaging to the environment or wildlife.

RESPECT FOR OTHERS: Ensure clients respect the beliefs and practices of our host country, and are briefed, as appropriately, when visiting temples, cultural, and other sites.

APPROPRIATE BEHAVIOR: Inform clients of appropriate behavior, language, and dress in relation to any places visited.

SMALL GROUPS: For any tour or service provided, only small groups or individuals are preferred. This is to ensure a quality, personal tour or service for the client, and is not providing mass tourism.

ACCURATE INFORMATION: Provide clients, prior to a tour or service, relevant and complete information to ensure clients have the best choice for product options.
